There are currently 4 locations for the chain with the Poconos location being its largest facility. Kalahari Resorts opened in 2015 in the Poconos. So we decided to check it out and see how things had changed. I am on the mailing list and recently got a promotional offer that indicated the rooms had recently been renovated. On our previous visit a couple of years ago we felt the place was showing some wear and tear. The Poconos location has 401 rooms and each wing of the lodge has 4 floors. The Great Wolf Lodge resort in the Poconos was constructed in 2005 – and is one of roughly 19 locations for the chain. Water park temperatures at all three Poconos water parks is the same 84 degrees, year-round. That’s an AMAZING 425,000 square feet of indoor water parks in a very small geographical area!! Total miles = 11.3 to go from Kalahari to Great Wolf Lodge, and then to Aquatopia!įor the size of the main lobby, it is the same order with Great Wolf Lodge’s lobby being the smallest, Kalahari’s main lobby being the largest and Aquatopia’s lobby size somewhere in the middle. Kalahari’s waterpark is the largest at 220,000 square feet & Camelback’s Aquatopia indoor waterpark is right in the middle at 125,000 square feet. Great Wolf Lodge, Kalahari & Camelback’s Aquatopia resort are all located in the Poconos and are VERY close to each other!
